Room 507, Sunday Afternoon

Jason had woken up intending to have a nice, boring Sunday, but those plans had been set aside when he got a call from Bruce. He was going to have go to home in the next few weeks, and Bruce had a long list of things he wanted Jason to be ready for when he got back to Gotham. For now, that meant reading, so Jason was sprawled out on his bed, trying to absorb the information in front of him without falling asleep or skipping past the boring but necessary details to get to the good stuff.

"You have to say that since I'm the only one who's done it," he teased.

"But it's true. I mean, you could be bad at touching me. But you're not," Jason said. "Really, really not."

"You're way more discerning than I am," Nico decided, resting his forehead against Jason's shoulder. "I don't know if I can imagine bad."

"There's lots of ways to be touched badly," Jason said, hoping he wouldn't have to give Nico examples. Obviously, he was a lot more innocent than Jason. "Or, do you mean you can't imagine me touching you badly? Because I like the sound of that."

"I don't know," he said slowly. "Coming from you, it'd all be good." Serious issues were what Nico had.

"You know, it's dangerous to say things like that to me," Jason said. "Now, I know I can touch you however I want, and it'll be good for you."

Considering he already had Jason tying him up, Nico didn't think it was all that dangerous or worrisome. "You're good at making me trust you."

That probably shouldn't have made Jason blush so hard, but being trusted was a serious compliment. "You can trust me. I mean, considering how much I trust you, it's only fair for you to be able to do it back."

"You say that and now I'm kind of worried about disappointing you," Nico admitted, unsure he deserved Jason's trust.

"How could you disappoint me?" Jason asked, genuinely confused. "You haven't been bothered by anything I've told you, so how could I be disappointed?"

Jason's confusion just made Nico want to hug him. "I don't know, I just don't want you to be disappointed with me."

"I don't think that could happen. I...I like you too much," Jason said. "Also, I'm pretty hard to disappoint." At least, he was hard to disappoint to the point of being disappointed enough to say anything.

"So it'll be that much more epic if I manage it?" Nico said, trying to smile.

"It'll be nearly impossible for you to manage it," Jason said. "Do you think I can disappoint you?"

"No way," Nico said with a shake of his head, stroking his fingers through Jason's hair a little. "But I'm not used to not being a disappointment."

"Neither am I. So, this might be something we're going to have to get used to with each other," Jason said, making a soft noise of pleasure at Nico's hand in his hair. "I'm up for it if you are."

"Okay," he assented quietly. That warm feeling was filling Nico's chest again, thinking about Jason wanting to be with him and thinking the very best and not expecting the worst. It wasn't like anything Nico had experienced with anyone else before and Jason was actually saying it out loud.

There was a warm feeling spreading through Jason too, compelling him to lean closer and give Nico a kiss. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to worry less about disappointing him or screwing things up, but at least now, he had a reason to try.
