Room 507, Monday Evening

The island seemed to be back to its normal state, just in time for classes to go on as usual, of course. Luckily, Jason only had two classes today, and with nothing to fight at the moment, he had the whole evening to relax. Or, to sort of relax. Nico still hadn't turned back into a person, so Jason still had a hellhound puppy on his lap as he flipped through some comic books. He wasn't going to start worrying yet though. That would just be silly. Probably.

Nico chuckled at Jay's reaction, his cool hand sliding over the other boy's neck. "I know. I thought I'd see how you liked being teased. Since you're so fond of doing it to me."

"It's more fun when I get to do it to you," Jason said, his eyes shutting at the touch. "You can't tell me you like holding back when you want to do stuff to me."

"Okay, you're right about that," Nico admitted, looking a little ashamed of how he was virtually unable to contain himself when it came to Jason.

"I think it's sweet that you want to tease me too though. Like, to make me feel how you do," Jason said, leaning closer.

"You did not just call me sweet," Nico said, eyes widening. "Dude, I'm so not supposed to be sweet!"

Jason laughed. "Why can't you be sweet?" he asked. "I didn't mean it in a mean way."

Nico gave him the side-eye. "I'm supposed to be the King of Ghosts. Cold to the touch, radiating fear and death, sucks out your life with the swing of my sword?"

"Well, you've got the cold to the touch part," Jason said. "And you do radiate fear, although I think I've kind of gotten used to that too. As for the sword, you'd never do that, ever. Not to me."

Nico leaned forward to kiss Jason for that. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I'm sweet. I think I'd get disowned."

Ignore that he was completely too nice to be his father's son most days.

"I won't tell anyone. It can be our little secret. Just like how you think I'm a nerd," Jason said, kissing Nico back.

"Because you are a nerd," Nico murmured before continuing the kiss. What? He had to get his say in.

"Am not," Jason murmured when he had the chance. Obviously, he had to kiss Nico harder to keep him from responding.

If he was going to kiss harder, Nico would just have to pretend he was patient and count to three before pulling back just enough to add, "Yeah you are," and kiss him again.

Jason pulled back and gave Nico a dirty look. "Yeah, well, you must like nerds then, all things considered."

"No, I like you," Nico told him, adding emphasis to his words by grabbing hold of the front of Jason's shirt and giving little tugs. "Nerdy, heroic, seriously flexible, and completely fucking hot."

Jason couldn't stop himself from turning red at all of that. "You think I'm heroic?" he asked, because that was the most flattering thing Nico had said.

Nico reached for Jason's arm as evidence. "No, not at all. Have you been hanging out with Percy while I was a hellhound?" His brand of stupid was catching.

"Of course not. I thought he might try to take you from me," Jason said. "I just...don't always feel heroic. I mean, I didn't save anyone this weekend. That was kind of pathetic."

"What, you have to be the one who saves others to be heroic?" If Nico subscribed to that, he'd never let anyone call him a hero. "To me, it's more about being brave and trying when other people might give up."

"I guess. But saving people and protecting them is even more heroic," Jason insisted. "That's the kind of hero I want to be."

Nico really didn't want to go there with Jason, especially not when he was naked and trying to get something other than clothes out it. "You can't save everyone."

"Maybe. But I'm sure going to try," Jason said, wrapping his arms around Nico's neck to pull himself in for another kiss. "I kept you safe. That was a good start. Especially considering my reward now."

"You did keep me safe," Nico agreed, letting go of Jason's shirt to move closer. "You stopped me from jumping into the shadows and getting lost." What? It was a big deal when he was a hellhound.

"Or eating your own weight in food and getting sick," Jason teased. Now, it was his turn to kiss and bite Nico's neck, nibbling softly at his skin.

Nico sighed and threaded his fingers back into Jason's hair. "Shh, you're making me hungry," he joked, his free hand slipping up under the hem of Jason's shirt.
